The US-Israeli assault on Iran is being sold by the US as a defensive manoeuvre.

However, it functions as something far more revealing: a maintenance operation for a global system that can no longer sustain itself and is increasingly reliant on violence.  

The Strait of Hormuz can be regarded as a pressure valve for the world economy. Any threat to close it disrupts the predictability that global markets depend on for pricing, investment and trade flows.

Estonia and other Baltic states are now attacking Russia or allowing the use of their airspace for such strikes. Either way, it's effectively a declaration of war on Moscow. However, we still don't see a direct response from the Kremlin. This has led many to recklessly conclude that Russia is "weak". Such dangerous delusions are what led the Kiev regime to get into a suicidal confrontation with the Eurasian giant.
